Doll meetup

Thank you for all the positive feedback on my Asa! I've been spending all my spare time on her recently.

But today it's not about BJD, it's about the diversity of the dolly world. It feels like I've just been there, but in reality the time is running like crazy and it'd been three weeks ago!

Iplehouse's mini Asa is in!

I got a box, a really big box. I took the dog for a walk before opening it, because I needed to cool down.
Now I'm speechles, so let the pictures talk.

Those other dolls - clones

My friend found an intriguing doll on a flea market. She griped my heart, but had two flaws - she had her legs cut below knees and missing and she was orange. Not tanned or dark, simply bright orange like a carrot, as if somebody was trying to dye her and something went very wrong. I thought it would be impossible to find body parts for a doll with such a peculiar complexion.

There is nothing wrong with your monitor, she just is that orange.

Just had to share this news! Today at 19:36 local time my Asa was handed over to Customs Office. Yay!

My Scene Barbie Wave 1

I got this My Scene Barbie Wave 1 head in a condition suggesting an unexpected attack of an overenthusiastic, but poorly experienced hairdresser. She probably requires a reroot, but since there are few things that I hate more, I decided to give it a chance and try to save her with a new hairdo alone.

I did what I could, it looks better from the back, but I managed to improve her looks enough to want to keep her.

I gave her a spare Fashion Fever body.

She's presenting my sewing corner.

A rare moment when my usual mess is under control.

Mermaid Kayla

A friend remembered that I wanted a redhead mermaid Kayla and kept her for me, when he found her in a thrift store. He packed her in this truly amazing box and gave to me as a surprise. It's been ages since I got a doll as a surprise gift!

I've been looking for this Kayla doll for ages. Her face and hair is perfect, exactly to my liking, but as much as I love mermaids, I absolutely hate permanent tails, although construction of this particular one is interesting. It is covered with soft rubber with a joint in the middle, so it moves quite nicely.

I got a Fashionistas body for her immediately, but got stuck and cannot think of a style for her. Well, I will probably wake up one day and know what to do with her.

I just wanted to say this once again: I love this doll, thank you, thank you, thank you! :D

Waiting for THE doll - shoes

Nice basic shoes for a BJD...
I'm not buying shoes for my BJD, I can make some decent shoes myself, right? Well, maybe just one pair, a basic one to start with...

...can go with a bow.
But in the same shop they had these really cute and relatively cheap sneakers. They didn't have human sizes, so a doll sized pair had to suffice.

Did I mention that I love cute patterns on sneakers?
And finally I stumbled upon *really accidentally* this red pair. You know, I have this thing about red shoes...

Some people sinned for a red apple. This is my temptation.

I really try not to think that my Asa comes also with high heel feet... Thankfully she has an unusual foot size and it is quite difficult to find a pair that would fit her. Don't tell me if I'm wrong. ;)
